Carry-on Baggage
Carry-on baggage should, in principle, be limited
to such as can be put beneath the seat. Baggage must not
exceed the total linear dimensions of 115cm (40 inches)
Excess Baggage
Baggage exceeding the free baggage allowance may be carried
at an excess baggage charge. For details about such charges,
please check with the nearest MIAT office or your travel
agent.
Valuables
The following items should not be included in the checked
baggage:
Cash, jewelry & precious stones, stocks & bonds,
antiques, watches, cameras, glass items, etc. MIAT will
not be held responsible for the loss or damage to valuables
or fragile objects.
Dangerous Articles
It is dangerous, and therefore forbidden to take any of
the articles listed below in baggage, either checked or
unchecked:
Explosives, compressed gases, flammable liquids and solids
(including matches or lighter fuel in large quantities),
corrosives, radioactive materials, magnetized materials,
offensive or irritating substances and other articles liable
to harm passengers or damage aircraft or cargo.
Firearms, swords and other similar items should not be carried
in cabin.

Note
The use of the following electronic/ electronic equipment
on board the aircraft is prohibited in order to prevent
interference with aircraft electronics: portable telephones
and transceivers, pagers, portable TV’s, FM radio
receivers, wireless headphones, computer printers, etc.
Computers (word processors, personal computers), video cameras,
cassette tape recorders/players, CD players, etc. may not
be used during take off and landing of the aircraft.
At the departure gate, a body search and an inspection of
carry-on baggage is sometimes necessary.
All valuables must be kept in carry-on baggage.

When Making Reservations
Please notify the travel agency or our reservation center
of where you may be reached in case of reservation changes.
Reconfirmation
If you break your journey for more than 72 hours at any
point and hold a continuing or return reservation on MIAT
Mongolian Airlines, please reconfirm your intention of using
that reservation. To do so, please inform the MIAT office
at the point where you intend to resume your journey at
least 72 hours before departure of your fight. Failure to
reconfirm may result in the cancellation of your reservation.
Validity
Normal fare tickets are valid for one year from the commencement
of travel (or from the date of issue if no portion of the
ticket has been used).
Certain fares (mostly discounted fares for extrusions, groups
or inclusive tours) restrict the validity of your tickets,
the dates of your journeys or voluntary changes of routing.
When in doubt, please check with your booking office.
Coupon Sequence
Flight coupons must be used in sequence from the place of
departure as shown on the passengers’s coupon.
Application for Refund
Applications for refunds should be made not later then thirty
(30) days after the expiration date of ticket or miscellaneous
charges order.
Free Baggage Allowance
a) First Class
Total weight of checked baggage up to 40kg (88 lbs)
b) Business Class
Total weight of checked baggage up to 30kg (66 lbs)
c) Economy Class
Total weight of checked baggage up to 20kg (44 lbs)
