Duration: 6 days
Day 1
Depart from UB. Drive 140 km by paved road (very good road)
to the East of UB and reach Baganuur town. More 15 km and
we reach river Herlen. The Herlen river, one of the 3 major
river systems and is inhabited by numerous species of fish.
Light lunch on riverside
Continue to drive and reach the Bayangol tourist camp in Umnudelger
sum of Hentii province.
Accommodate at camp.
Dinner. Overnight at camp.
Day 2
Breakfast
Continue our driving to Chinggis Khaan Motherland.
Arrive at Bereeven monastery ruins – 27 km
Initially there were only 2 temples: Yellow Temple and White
temple.
Later this place grew into the big Monastery complex of Bereeven.
Holding 8000 monks it became a main and leading religious
center in the Eastern Mongolia.
On the way see the Deer Stone.
Lunch at Deer Stone or river side
Continue to drive for about 150 km and
Arrive at Chinggis Toonot tourist camp
Dinner. Overnight at camp.
Day 3
Breakfast
Drive for 50 km to visit Oglogchiin
Fortress
Arrive at Fortress. Get introduced to the historical site
Uglugchiin Fortress is located in 45 km South-east to Batshireet
sum of Hentii aimag, in the valley of Daichin or “Fighter”
Mountain. Fortress made of rocks lay together carefully without
using any clay or other sticking materials. Fortress is approximately
3 km, there are two places look like entrances. Most part
of the Fortress cannot be differing from the ground, but the
southern part is appeared up from the ground.
In 1926 Soviet scientist S. Kondratiev determined the average
height of the Stone Walls is 2,5 – 4,5 m in different
parts and the highest Wall is 3,1 m with the weight of 2,5
m.
In the middle of the Fortress there is a Rocky Cliff visible
from a distance and according to legend this cliff was a place
where Chinggis Khaan’s tethered his horses.
According to S.Kondratiev, Uglugchiin Fortress was a strong-hold
of archers of 12-14 Century. Mongolian historian H.Perlee
confirms that Fortress was belonged to Kidan State on the
basis of some findings such as pieces of potteries and earthenware.
At present, excavation works holds by American-Mongolian Expedition
on the spot and hopefully they will come to some certain results.
Picnic lunch
Drive for 12 km to see the “Rashaan Had” rock
paintings
Rashaan Khad - stone pictures and about 20 inscribed stones
aged from Stone Age to 17century A.D. on Orkhon –Yenisei,
Arabic, Persian, Mongolian, Tibetan and Kidan letters. There
is a smithy of Stone Age and about 400 stone seals. "Deer"
Stone; Bronze Age tombs.
See the “Binder Ovoo” worshipped by Chinggis Khaan
Drive back to camp
Dinner
Visit a nomad buryat family. Overnight at camp.
Day 4
Continue the trip towards Dadal village – the legendary
birthplace of Genghis Khaan, visit The Great Khaan's monument
at Deluun Boldog. Enjoy the nature beauty. Overnight at camp.
Day 5
Breakfast
Depart for Delgerkhaan sum 240 km –6 hours
Boxed lunch
Arrive at Delgerkhaan sum. Acc at tourist camp “Huduu
Aral”
Huduu Aral is a historical place where Aurug or Palace was
situated. In 1240, “The Secret History of the Mongols”
– the most important literary and historical work of
Mongols from the ancient times – was completed at Aurug,
where the Palace of Chinggis Khaan was. The 750th anniversary
of this great historical work was held at Huduu Aral in 1990,
and a monument was erected to honor the great emperor. Numerous
ancient burials are found in this area.

Boxed lunch
Arrive in UB
In the evening we attend a Mongolian folk dance and music
performance, where we will enjoy very old Mongolian long songs,
performances by contortionists, throat singers, dancing and
more. Overnight at hotel. Day 7
Transfer to airport for return flight.
